The Education Foundation of Orinda is holding a Celebration of the Arts on Thursday, March 29.

The event at Orinda Intermediate will highlight the ways the EFO — and parents’ donations — supports music and visual arts in Orinda schools.
Here are some of the features:

* There will be an art exhibit from 6-6:30 p.m. and 7:30-8 p.m. in the multipurpose room, with a display of student art work in mixed media, woodworking, video production, computer graphics and advanced digital photography. The Miramonte Jazz Band will provide entertainment from 7:30-8 p.m.

* The Combined Elementary School Band, the OIS Strings and Concert Band and the Miramonte Combined Concert and Symphonic bands will perform from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Isola Gym.

* New this year: There will be public speaking and drama presentations from Miramonte in the OIS Drama Room from 7:30-8 p.m.

Admission to the event is free.
