The police log reveals that Friday the 13th was a nightmare at one Orinda home. A woman reported at 11:43 a.m. that someone had turned on the water main in her house, which was still under construction, causing the water from the second floor to overflow, soak the floor and run down the walls on the first floor. There were several contractors working on the project, and police could not determine if a crime had been committed. Damage was estimated at $100,000.
