The newly formed Traffic Safety Advisory Committee is holding a public forum on traffic safety on today, April 23.

The committee was formed to make recommendations to the town about improvements that could make it safer to walk, bike and drive in Moraga.

The group reviews residents’ requests for safety improvements. Recent suggestions have included installing a golf cart crossing on Moraga Way and reducing speeding in various neighborhoods.

The forum begins at 6 p.m. in the Mosaic Room at the Hacienda de las Flores, 2100 Donald Drive.

All in all, a great meeting with neighbors coming out in force to participate and air their concerns. It was good to see. There’s more work to be done and we hope community interest and participation remains as strong as it was last night.

    Thanks for coming.
