From the Moraga police report:

Officers were dispatched to Moraga Way on a report of a missing or stolen purse from Safeway. The woman said at 6:30 p.m. she was in the check out line and realized she forgot ice cream. She left her shopping cart, with her purse in it, in the line while she grabbed some ice cream two aisles over. When she returned her purse was missing. Total loss estimated at $400.
