Pooch pilfered

DOG STEALING — A Safeway shopper on Moraga Way reported that her 15-pound, black and white spotted terrier named Gus was stolen from her unlocked car. The dog was wearing a lime green collar and has an identification chip in his body. The value of the dog is about $500.

    sounds more like the rescue of a neglected dog to me, isnt it against the law to leave you dog in your car when temps are so hot?

    Think Mike “Troll” Dame is exactly right. There is a new law that prohibits leaving dogs/animals in cars. Maybe “Safeway shopper” should check with Animal Control (and leave the pooch at home next time!)
