Orinda: Normal garbage service today

The city is reporting that Valley Waste Mangement, which picks up Orinda’s green waste and recycling, will operate on a normal schedule today.

The July 16 work stoppage created a backup that meant drivers weren’t able to complete their normal service routes on Monday. But VWM says that all routes that weren’t finished yesterday will be completed today.

If you have any questions or would like to report a complaint on this matter, please contact the CCCSWA office at (925) 906-1801.

Teamsters Local Union 70 and Waste Management will continue negotiations today in hopes of resolving the labor dispute in Oakland.
