Lafayette’s new Library and Learning Center is starting to take shape. Curious residents, who for weeks feasted their eyes on a giant hole in the ground as crews dug at the site, can now see rebar going up for the walls. Crews have begun pouring the basement level walls. The basement is expected to be finished by the end of October.

The webcam across the street from the library is capturing the construction. Click here to view.

The $43 million library is slated to open at Mt. Diablo Boulevard and First Street in 2009.
