Campo boys, Acalanes girls advance in NCS

The Campolindo boys soccer team won their first round NCS game Wednesday night against Albany High School by a score of 2-1. The Cougars will now meet host Las Lomas Saturday in the quarterfinals. Campolindo won the first meeting between the two teams this season, 1-0, and Las Lomas won the second, 3-2.
The Acalanes girls went into penalty kicks against Piedmont after neither team could break the 0-0 tie in regulation or overtime. The Dons won the shootout, 4-3, and will be the visitors against Miramonte Saturday night at 7 p.m. The Mats won both meetings between the two teams this season by scores of 3-0 and 4-0.
The Acalanes boys will host Hayward at 2 p.m. on Saturday after receiving a first-round bye.
The Campolindo girls, who also received a first-round bye, will host Berean Christian at 7 p.m.
