NCS Basketball First Round Results

In the boys basketball NCS Division III Bracket, the three Lamorinda high schools were set to find out who would earn bragging rights early.

Campolindo hosted a first-round game against Acalanes Tuesday night, which the visiting Dons won, 66-57. Acalanes will now play host Miramonte in the quarterfinals Friday night at 7:30 p.m. The Matadors, the number two seed, are 22-4 overall, which includes a perfect 12-0 league record.

On the girls side, number six seed Acalanes was upset at home by the eleven seed Tamalpais, 49-36.

Miramonte crushed Eureka in their first-round game, 80-47, and will now play host Campolindo Friday night at 7:30 p.m. in the quarterfinals. The Cougars and Matadors split their season series with each team winning one game.
