The Miramonte boys basketball team kept their season alive Wednesday night by winning their NCS semifinal game against Piner High School, 61-52.
The number two seed Matadors were expected to meet number one seed Bishop O’Dowd in the final, but the five seed, Analy High School, knocked off Bishop O’Dowd.
Miramonte will face Analy Friday night at 8 p.m. at St. Mary’s College for the NCS Division III title.
The other local high school basketball team that made it to the NCS semifinals, the Campolindo girls, saw their season come to an end Wednesday night. The Cougars were outmatched by the number one seed, Bishop O’Dowd, losing by a final score of 55-41.
