The Saint Mary’s men’s basketball team will host a second round National Invitational Tournament game this Monday night at 8:30 p.m. against the Davidson Wildcats.

The game will match up two of the top guards in the nation, Saint Mary’s Patrick Mills and Davidson’s Stephen Curry. Curry is a national player of the year candidate after leading the country in scoring, averaging 28.7 points per game.

This will be the first time the two schools have ever faced each other in men’s basketball.

The Gaels won their first round game Tuesday night against Washington State, 68-57.

The game was the quickest sellout in the history of Saint Mary’s basketball. It will be nationally televised on ESPN2.
