Miramonte girls varsity basketball coach, James Kizziee, will not return to the sidelines with the Matadors next season. His contract was not renewed by the school’s administration.

Because of Acalanes Union High School District confidentiality rules, a reason for Kizziee’s dismissal has not been publicized.

The Miramonte girls basketball team finished tied for second place in the DFAL this year, compiling a league record of 9-3. The Matadors finished with an overall record of 19-9.

After easily winning their North Coast Section first-round playoff game against Eureka High School, 80-47, Miramonte was knocked out of the playoffs in the quarterfinal round by rival Campolindo, 71-63.
