On Sunday, April 19, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Stanley Middle School will be hosting the Lamorinda Earth Day Festival. More than 50 vendors and non-profits are expected to participate in the event.
The theme of the event will be “Going Local,” which relays the idea that doing as much locally as possible will lead to a more sustainable environment. The festival will be divided up into five different zones, each focused on one part of how to “go local.” The five zones will be “Eat Local,” “Move Local,” “Shop Local,” “Power Local” and “Act Local.”
The Lamorinda Earth Day Festival will feature speakers discussing how to “go local,” music, food and many other activities.
