Saint Mary’s graduate Michael Porcella, 36, was found dead in his home at 3740 Laguna Ave. in Oakland Friday night after police officers reported to the house after receiving a call from a neighbor about a gunshot coming from the home.

Porcella’s girlfriend, Rennie Pratt, 28, of Oakland, was arrested Friday night on suspicion of committing murder. Porcella and Pratt had been dating for about six months.

Police believe Porcella was shot while he and Pratt were having an argument.

After attending Saint Mary’s College, Porcella later attended Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco and was admitted to the State Bar in 2006.
