Miramonte wins Fort Bragg Rotary Invitational

The Miramonte baseball team won all three of their games on the way to claiming the 2009 Fort Bragg Rotary Invitational title.

In their first game, the Matadors dominated St. Bernard’s from Eureka by a score of 16-5.

On Saturday morning, Miramonte faced off with Valley Christian, of Dublin, winning easily, 9-0. The Miramonte pitching staff held Valley Christian to only four hits in the game.

In the championship game Saturday afternoon, the Matadors played a strong Fort Bragg team. Pitcher John Vaccaro led the way by giving up only one run on five hits in a complete game. Vaccaro also struck out three batters as Miramonte claimed the title by winning the championship game,mir 4-1.
