The Contra Costa County Libraries will be holding their Reading Festival from May 3-9. The week-long festival will include events for kids and families including crafts and carnivals. Each library will have its own schedule of events.

On Thursday, May 7, at 7:00 p.m., in the Orinda Library Auditorium, reporter and author Mark Curtis will discuss his experiences while on the campaign trail of Barack Obama, John McCain and Hilary Clinton during the 2008 presidential election. Curtis recently wrote a book on the topic called “Age of Obama: A Reporter’s Journey With Clinton, McCain and Obama in the Making of the President.”
