Just after school on Monday, a female Stanley Middle School student was walking along the Lafayette-Moraga Trail near where the trail opens up across from the school’s parking lot when she was grabbed by a man she did not know.
The man shoved the girl against a fence and ran away after the girl began screaming for help and that she didn’t know the man.
The girl told police that the man who grabbed her was around 5-foot-7, overweight and in his 40s. She also described him as having brown hair, a beard and blue Adidas running shorts with white stripes.
The area where the girl was grabbed is known as the “power plant” by Stanley students where large structures are on both sides of the trail.
