Violent robbery in Moraga

Three men attacked and robbed a 55-year-old Orinda man around midnight Saturday night near the intersection of Moraga Road and Rheem Boulevard.
Moraga police saw two of the suspects beating the man. When police came to stop the crime, the suspects left the scene in a vehicle.
A car matching the description was stopped on Moraga Road in Lafayette. The driver, Francisco Hernandez, 19, was booked for driving under the influence, driving without a license and suspicion of robbery.
At the scene of the beating and robbery, police found another suspect, a 17-year-old male, who was booked into juvenile hall on suspicion of robbery.

Given the current state of Moraga finances, there is more of this behavior where that came from. No monies for law enforcement means more petty and sometimes violent crime.
