The Miramonte baseball team squeezed out an extra-inning victory Tuesday to keep them in charge of the DFAL heading into the final game of the season. The Matadors headed into Tuesday’s game against Dougherty Valley, who are last in the DFAL, as heavy favorites, but it took them until the bottom of the ninth inning to earn the 3-2 victory. With a league record of 9-2, Miramonte can win the DFAL outright with a win against Alhambra on Thursday.
Campolindo brought their bats out against Acalanes Tuesday, beating the Dons, 10-4. Campolindo improved their league record to 8-3 and are currently tied for second with Dublin, while the Dons dropped to 5-7 in DFAL play.
Miramonte’s boys tennis team won their first round NCS playoff, 5-2, over Castro Valley.
Campolindo’s boys volleyball team defeated Alameda in their first round NCS playoff, 25-14, 25-16 and 25-23.
