With the weather warming up, the Lafayette Reservoir is a great place to spend the day with friends or family. While many people are familiar with walking or running around the Lafayette Reservoir, there are a lot of other activities to do as well.

There are 35 picnic sites scattered around the Lafayette Reservoir with some in the sun and some in the shade.

Fishing at the Lafayette Reservoir gives you the chance to catch trout, black bass, catfish and several other kinds of fish. It costs $4 per day to fish, and state license requirements apply.

You can go out on the water as well either on your own kayak or small boat after registering it, or you can rent a pedal boat or row boat per hour or for the day.

There is a $6 fee to park for the day. Metered parking is also available for 50 cents per half-hour with a two-hour maximum.
