Highway 24 is seemingly showing up more often than ever in the news, but it is never for good reasons.
Tonight, at about 5:35 p.m., Andrea Cintron, 36, of Berkeley, was driving near Acalanes Road when another car cut her off. Cintron swerved out of the way, but her 1996 Ford Escort ended up going across all lanes of traffic and up a hill on the right side of the freeway.
The car began flipping over as it rolled back down the hill, and Cintron was thrown through the passenger-side front window.
Cintron was lucky to escape the accident with only a potential broken arm as she had not been wearing her seatbelt.
