Events at the local libraries

On Monday, Aug. 3, the Orinda Library is hosting a writing workshop for kids in third through fifth grade that starts at 10:30 a.m.

The Orinda Library is also hosting an event on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at 10:00 a.m. for children ages one to three. The event will include interactive storytelling and singing. The same event will also take place on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. and Wednesday, Aug. 5, at 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

The Moraga Library is hosting a workshop called “Accepted: Getting into Your 1st Choice College” on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at 7:00 p.m. Representatives from Kaplan Test Prep will be on hand to discuss college admissions procedures and standardized testing.

On Wednesday, Aug. 5, at 2:00 p.m., the Moraga Library will be hosting a speaker from the San Francisco Museum of Fine Arts who will be discussing Ancient Egypt and the Tutankhamun exhibit on display at the de Young Museum.
