Lafayette is finally getting in on the Lamorinda Farmers’ Market action, as the first “trial” Lafayette Farmers’ Market is scheduled for this Thursday, Sept. 3, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Two other “trial” dates are set for Thursday, Sept. 10, and Thursday, Sept. 17. Both of these will also be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
The Lafayette Farmers’ Market will take place in Lafayette Plaza Park, the park near Squirrel’s and the Park Theater.
If the three trial Farmers’ Markets are considered a success, then Lafayette will begin holding a regular Farmers’ Market starting in May 2010 through October 2010.
The Farmers’ Market is supported by Sustainable Lafayette and The Environmental Task Force Local Foods Group.
