Orinda Police statistics for August

Orinda Police made 11 arrests during the month of August. Three of the arrests were based on warrants, two were made for possession of drugs, three were for driving under the influence, and one was for being a public nuisance. An arrest was also made on Camino Sobrante in connection with a commercial burglary.

Police responded to 30 calls to service. They responded to 14 reports of burglary: five from vehicles, four from commercial buildings and five from residential buildings. There were five reports of grand theft and two reports of petty theft. There were also nine cases of vandalism reported.

Orinda Police also responded to 132 false alarm calls during the month of August.
