Acalanes proved once again that they are a much improved football team from last year as the Dons knocked off Miramonte, 14-7, in a Friday night DFAL match-up. The game was all tied up at 7-7 until Acalanes quarterbackTyler Caldwell completed a 40-yard touchdown pass to Lucas Levine with only 33 seconds left in the game. Miramonte made a final push to get close, but a last second pass was intercepted by the Dons.
Campolindo got back on track by beating Dublin, 28-21, although the Cougars needed some big plays late to ensure the victory. Quarterback Tommy Stephens scored the game-winning touchdown on a one-yard run with only 1:22 left in the game.
