The Saint Mary’s men’s basketball team is heading to Southern California for their next two West Coast Conference games. On Thursday, the Gaels will play at Pepperdine at 7:00 p.m. The Gaels will face off against Loyola Marymount in Los Angeles on Saturday at 7:00 p.m.

Saint Mary’s will need to win both games in order to keep pace with WCC leader Gonzaga. The Gaels are currently 4-1 in WCC play and trail Gonzaga (5-0) by a game, because Gonzaga won the teams’ match-up earlier this season.

Saint Mary’s is currently 17-3 overall, which has them on pace to earn a bid to the NCAA Tournament once again. If the Gaels are able to win their next four WCC games, then the WCC lead could be on the line in their game against Gonzaga on Feb. 11 in Spokane.
