It seemed like deja vu this morning when another earthquake was easily felt throughout the Lamorinda area. A 3.8 magnitude earthquake, slightly smaller than yesterday’s 4.1 magnitude earthquake, struck at 11:48 a.m. today.
The earthquake today was centered very close to where yesterday’s earthquake was centered. Today’s earthquake was centered about six miles northeast of Milpitas.
No injuries or damage have been reported as a result of today’s earthquake.
There was also a 3.0 magnitude earthquake that struck in the same general area at 11:09 p.m. Wednesday night.

That shake you just felt this morning was a 4.1-magnitude earthquake centered about six miles to the northeast of Milpitas. The earthquake was felt throughout the Lamorinda area, as well as the entire Bay Area.
Although the area has had several small tremors this week, which is normal, none of those reached above a 2.2-magnitude.
The earthquake this morning started at 10:09 a.m.
There are no injuries or damage reported yet, but there will be an update if any of that changes.

The Moraga Art Gallery’s newest art show is set to open this Tuesday, Jan. 12. The show is called “Three Continents” and will feature the work of local artists through a variety of media, including paintings, photography, jewelry, glass and ceramics.
The Moraga Art Gallery will be holding an opening reception for the show on Saturday, Jan. 23, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. The show will be on display until March 14.

The Orinda Police Department made a total of nine arrests during the month of December. The most common reason for arrest was driving under the influence, as four DUI arrests were made. The other five arrests during December were for drunk in public, vandalism, possession of a destructive device, strongarm robbery, and one as a result of a warrant.
During December, one commercial burglary, one auto burglary and one residential burglary were reported. Three cases of grand theft and two cases of petty theft from vehicles were reported, as well as one other case of petty theft not vehicle-related. One robbery, three cases of vandalism and two stolen vehiclesÂ were also reported.
Members of the Orinda Police Department responded to 98 false residential alarms throughout December.

Acalanes is currently the only Lamorinda boys soccer team looking like they will be competing for the DFAL title down the season’s final stretch. The Dons are currently 2-1 in league play (8-1 overall), putting them in third place behind Dublin and Alhambra. They play Alhambra in their next game on Wednesday.
Campolindo and Miramonte are currently tied for last place in the DFAL. Miramonte is 0-2-1, while Campolindo is 0-3-1. The teams tied each other in their meeting earlier this season. Miramonte plays Dublin in their game on Wednesday, while Campolindo faces off against Dougherty Valley.

Orinda Police believe they have arrested the man accused of “flashing” students in the Lamorinda area. Three different incidents were reported in Orinda on Aug. 20, Sept. 21 and Sept. 22, while one incident was reported in Moraga on Sept. 22.
The man, Todd Hager, 40, admitted to Orinda Police that he had committed these crimes.
Hager was spotted with his pants down in his car near Lafayette Elementary School on Wednesday by someone walking by who reported Hager to police. Police stopped Hager and arrested him on suspicion of indecent exposure.
Police believe Hager is also responsible for two similar incidents reported in Danville.
