On Wednesday night, the Acalanes Union High School District Governing Board will be holding its regularly scheduled meeting with the open session beginning at 7:30 p.m.
They will be discussing the state of the school district’s finances including the audit report for the 2008-2009 fiscal year and an update on Measure E.
The expected $4 million budget gap could result in the closure of the district’s continuation school, Del Oro High School, and another potential round of layoffs.
Although Del Oro is located in Walnut Creek, it serves many students who live in Lamorinda. For the report on the Del Oro situation, read Jonathan’s full story.
