Seventeen total arrests were made in Orinda during the month of January, which includes eight alcohol-related arrests.

Seven arrests were made for drunk in public, while one was made for driving under the influence. Seven arrests were made as a result of a warrant. One arrest was made for indecent exposure at Theatre Square.

During January, Orinda police responded to six reports of burglary: three auto, one commercial and two residential. There were two reports of grand theft and three reports of petty theft. One vehicle was reported stolen and was later recovered. There was one report of an assault with a deadly weapon. Five cases of vandalism were also reported.

The Orinda Police Department responded to 82 false residential alarms during the month.
