Boy Scout Troop 219 recently awarded three of its members from Lafayette the honor of Eagle Scout, the highest honor a boy scout can receive. All three new Eagle Scouts are currently students at Acalanes High School.
In order to earn the honor, each scout had to complete a special Eagle Project.
Brendan Stuart, a senior at Acalanes, built a wall and installed a watering system at the Ruth Bancroft Garden in Walnut Creek.
Andrew Lindgren, also a senior, built bicycle storage for the residents of Contra Costa Interfaith Housing, which provides housing for families in need.
Sam Lindgren, a junior at Acalanes, constructed three benches for the residents of Contra Costa Interfaith Housing.
