New Contra Costa County judge from Moraga

Rebecca C. Hardie, 48, of Moraga, has been appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to become a judge for the Contra Costa County Superior Court. The republican governor made the announcement today of his selection of the democratic judge.

Hardie has worked as a lawyer for PG&E since 2004. Prior to joining PG&E, Hardie spent time working as an assistant U.S. attorney, a deputy district attorney, a federal probation officer and a lawyer in a private firm.

Hardie graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science from Western Michigan University in 1983. She earned her law degree from the Hastings School of Law at the University of California San Francisco in 1991.
