NCS soccer quarterfinal results

The 2010 NCS soccer quarterfinals took place on Saturday, with five of the six Lamorinda teams involved.

On the girls side, the big game was Campolindo vs. Miramonte at Miramonte. The two teams split their two regular season games and were co-champions of the DFAL. Miramonte was able to get a 1-0 win and will face Bishop O’Dowd in the semifinals on Wednesday night at Miramonte at 7:00 p.m.

The seventh-seeded Acalanes girls were able to pull off an overtime upset of the number two seed, Berean Christian, by a score of 2-1. The Dons will meet another semifinal surprise, the eleventh seed, Alhambra, on Wednesday night at Acalanes at 7:00 p.m.

The Acalanes boys handled their quarterfinal against Piedmont, winning 2-0, and will move on to face the number one seed, Bishop O’Dowd, on Wednesday night.

The Campolindo boys fell victim to Bishop O’Dowd by a score of 1-0 in their quarterfinal match.
