The Miramonte boys basketball team entered the NCS Division III basketball final on Friday night at Saint Mary’s College as big underdogs to overall number one seed Bishop O’Dowd.

While the Matadors played a competitive game and even lead into the third quarter, they just didn’t have enough to match the size and strength of Bishop O’Dowd’s players.

Bishop O’Dowd took a lead midway through the third quarter and never gave it up. A 12-3 run in the fourth quarter sealed the victory.

Miramonte finishes the season with a 17-13 overall record. Their most memorable game of the season will certainly be their NCS  quarterfinal upset of rival Campolindo.
