With state unemployment at 12.5 percent, there cannot be a worse time for the district to be asking for an increase in taxes.

On the other hand, $112 works out to 3 cents a day. If that’s not chump change, I don’t know what is.

Redeem that soda can or beer bottle and you’ll still pocket 2 pennies.

Well Lafayette,
I certainly understand your terrible position, but most of the people in the area live here because it is a safe, family friendly area. The likely reason that you live here is that you like the people and the surroundings. If you can’t support the schools, then at some point, this area will begin to resemble other areas. For example, the citizens of San Jose regularly reject such ballot measures. I’m sure that you could save money by moving to such a place.

I agree!! This parcel tax is ridiculous and unfair. Acalanes wants money every election. As someone who has lived in Lafayette for 50+ years, I AM SICK OF IT! I can’t afford it either. The people in this town don’t care about anyone other than themselves. Those who are still making millions can still afford it, but most of us can’t. Acalanes needs to find alternate ways to raise money. NO ON A!!!

This is so stupid, what about the people that are unemployed and can barely afford to still live in the area. Why not have a donation drive, i cant afford this
