With the economy down and many jobless, stealing copper wire and pipes has become a popular way of making money illegally. While the majority of these crimes have been happening in urban areas, Moraga has a “copper robber” of its own.

The man has been seen on the roofs of several Moraga apartment buildings.

The Moraga Police Department does not have a ton to go on right now, but they are actively pursuing the case. They recently released a description of the suspect based on witness accounts. The man is believed to be white or hispanic and has been seen wearing coveralls and a beanie with a flame design on it.
