NCS baseball quarterfinals today; softball quarterfinals tomorrow

The Campolindo baseball team won their opening game, 5-3, against Ukiah in the NCS Division 2 playoffs. The second-seeded Cougars will host the seventh seed, Rancho Cotate, today at 5:00 p.m.

Miramonte’s top-seeded baseball team will be hosting a quarterfinal in the Division 3 playoffs against ninth-seeded Novato today at 5:00 p.m. The Matadors had a bye in the first round.

The fifth-seeded Acalanes softball team will play at the fourth seed, Albany, on Saturday at 2:00 p.m, in a Division 3 quarterfinal. The Dons beat Encinal, 2-1, in an eleven-inning first-round thriller.

The seventh-seeded Acalanes baseball team was upset in the Division 3 first round by the tenth seed, Arcata, 7-4. Campolindo’s fifth-seeded softball team suffered an upset in the opening round of the Division 2 playoffs, losing, 10-6, to the 12th seed, Clayton Valley.
