Campolindo and Miramonte baseball, Acalanes softball advance

The second-seeded Campolindo baseball team will host an NCS Division 2 semifinal on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. against the third seed, Redwood. The Cougars advanced to the semifinals by beating Rancho Cotate, 4-0, in the quarterfinals.

The Miramonte baseball team proved they were worthy of the number one seed in the NCS Division 3 playoffs by winning their quarterfinal game against Novato, 20-3. The Matadors will host a semifinal, also Wednesday at 5:00 p.m., against fourth-seeded Sir Francis Drake.

The Acalanes softball team used extra-inning heroics for the second straight game, beating Albany, 2-1, in the ninth inning. The Dons’ first round game went 11 innings. The fifth-seeded Dons will play at the number one seed, Bishop O’Dowd, Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
