The Lafayette Library and Learning Center is sponsoring a reading program called “Make a Splash” this summer for kids in high school and younger. Those participating in the program keep track of their time spent reading. Once they have reached certain milestones, they will receive prizes from the library.

The “Make a Splash” reading program will begin on June 5 and run through August 16. On June 5, the library will host a special event to celebrate the beginning of the “Make a Splash” program. Arts and crafts, games and a raffle will be going on during the event, which is from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Live music and a juggler will also be performing.
