House fire in Lafayette

A fire at the home located at 3107 Sandalwood Ct. in Lafayette resulted in the evacuation of several neighboring homes last night.

The two-alarm house fire was reported around 7:40 p.m. Sunday night. Fire crews from the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District were able to have the fire under control around 8:15 p.m.

Once the area was declared safe, the evacuated neighbors were allowed to return to their homes.

No injuries as a result of the fire have been reported.

Additional fire crews from other departments were initially called in to help CCCFPD firefighters, but they were quickly called off as the initial responding crews were able to control the fire.
