The Moraga-Orinda Fire District will be back in elementary school classrooms in Moraga and Orinda this fall teaching students about safety.

The safety program covers topics including how to prepare for disasters, fire safety and injury prevention. This will be the 11th year of the program.

The program is run by teaching each grade level separately, so that each year students are taught new and more advanced information. The sessions are typically around 40 minutes long.

Additional information is left for teachers to discuss with the students in class. Students are also given information to take home to discuss what they have learned with their families.
