The Lafayette Flag Bridgade will be holding their annual September 11th commemoration event on Saturday. The event, which takes place on the El Curtola Boulevard overpass of Highway 24, will start at 3:00 p.m. and go until dark.

The highlight of the event will be their featured speaker, a former member of the New York Fire Department who survived 9/11. He will be bringing personal items with him to share with those attending the event.

There will also be several other speakers and groups honoring the memory of those who died. A candlelight vigil will be held at dusk to draw the event to an end.
