The trees surrounding Lake Cascade’ north shore are being restored as part of a project by the Orinda Garden Club. The Orinda Country Club, where Lake Cascade is located, is supporting all efforts. More than 100 trees will be trimmed and pruned to clear up some space to allow visitors of the lake clearer views of the surrounding area.

The Orinda Garden Club originally planted some of the trees they are trimming during the 1940s, while some of the trees were planted in 1922 when the lake was first developed.

Finances for the project were collected through contributions and a silent auction.
