Orinda crime statistics for October

The Orinda Police Department made 12 arrests during the month of October. Of the 12 arrests, seven were made for driving under the influence. Two of the arrests were for the possession of marijuana for sale. There was also one arrest for drunk in public and two for prior warrants.

Police responded to 17 calls to service. There were six cases of auto burglary, four cases of grand theft from a vehicle and two stolen vehicles reported. There was one case of residential burglary and four reports of vandalism.

Orinda police also responded to 110 false residential alarms during October.
