When did you know Lafayette was truly your home? That’s the question the Lafayette city staff asked in a slideshow presented during the city’s annual Thanksgiving breakfast last week.

The video (below) is about 15 minutes long and includes some pretty cool photos — most taken by Lafayette staff — of a variety of Lafayette scenes like the reservoir, the downtown and the schools. And there are plenty of smiling Lafayette residents as they enjoy the Art and Wine Festival, sporting events and, of course, the beautiful hills and trails surrounding the city.

So this Thanksgiving, after the turkey has been carved and the last slice of pumpkin pie served, sit back and let the tryptophan kick in while City Manager Steven B. Falk whisks you to a magical place where the beer at the Roundup is always free and everyone gets a puppy.
