Saint Mary’s College’s annual January speaker series will continue on Wednesday, Jan. 12, with a talk by the Kitchen Sisters called “Building Community Through Storytelling.” The Kitchen Sisters host an award-winning show on NPR.

On Tuesday, Jan. 18, Shane Claiborne will hold a lecture called “Another World is Possible.” Claiborne, who has served with Mother Theresa and the Iraq Peace Team, is the author of several books and founder of The Simple Way, an organization that looks to bring different faiths together.

The speaker series will close out on Tuesday, Jan. 25, when Robert Reich will discuss American politics and the economy in a lecture called “Aftershock: Why the Economy is Still So Bad and Why Our Politics is So Angry.” Reich served as a secretary of labor during the Clinton administration. He is currently a professor at UC Berkeley.
