The Pacific Boychoir Academy will be performing at the Lafayette Library and Learning Center on Sunday, Jan. 23, at 4:30 p.m.
The Pacific Boychoir Academy, which is based in Oakland, is comprised of male singers, ages 4-18, from the Bay Area and beyond. More than 150 singers make up their six different levels of choirs.
Since its inception in 1998, they have been nominated for a total of five Grammy awards and won four of them. They won three of their four Grammy awards at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards in 2010, walking away with the awards for Best Classical Album, Best Choral Performance and Best Engineered Classical Album.
