Looking for a piano? Check out the piano sale Sunday at Saint Mary’s College, where a purchase will also benefit the college’s Performing Arts department.

The public can attend the sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the college’s Soda Activity Center.

The college began working with piano companies like Yamaha, as well as local instrument sellers, to help give Saint Mary’s music students access to new instruments, said Marty Rokeach, the director of Saint Mary’s Music Program. “It gives students access to high quality instruments and allows them to explore their creativity in a variety of musical genres.”

The sale, which started Thursday, is geared primarily to college faculty, alumni and friends of SMC, with the last day, Sunday, open to the general public.

Pianos for sale include baby grands and larger grands, player pianos, studios, consoles, and digital keyboards. The brands for sale include Yamaha, Yamaha Clavinova, Yamaha Disklavier, and Knabe. The sale will feature new Bosendorfer grands and nearly new and vintage Steinway grands as well. All instruments will include warranties and follow-up services.
