Orinda crime statistics for February

Crime levels dropped a bit in Orinda during the month of February, as police only made nine arrests in the month.
Seven of the arrests were made for alcohol-related crimes. There were four arrests for drunk in public, two arrests for driving under the influence, and one arrest for a juvenile-related alcohol offense.
The other two arrests were for a previous warrant and a violation of a court order.
Orinda Police responded to one report of each of the following crimes: auto burglary, residential burglary, petty theft from a vehicle, armed robbery and a stolen vehicle. The stolen vehicle was later recovered.
Orinda Police also responded to 73 false residential alarms in February.
