Taylor Hughes, 19, of Clayton, was arrested by Clayton Police during a traffic stop on Thursday. Hughes is one of two men believed to be responsible for a series of pharmacy robberies in the East Bay, including one in Orinda.
In the robberies, including the Orinda robbery, the two men worked together to distract pharmacy employees and then steal prescription drugs.
Evidence linking Hughes to the robberies was found in his home during a search, according to Concord police.
Hughes was taken to the County Jail in Martinez following his arrest. Police are still searching for his accomplice in the crimes.
