The baseball and softball seasons are starting to kick into full swing with some local teams off to hot starts and others struggling in the early season.

The Acalanes baseball team is off to a perfect 6-0 start, outscoring opponents, 47-8. Miramonte’s baseball team is 5-1 through their first six games, outscoring opponents, 69-11. The two teams are favorites in the DFAL and will meet each other in the DFAL opener on March 29. ┬áCampolindo is 1-3, but the Cougars have played a tough schedule to this point and still figure to be one of the top teams around.

The three softball teams are having a tough go in the early season. Acalanes is 3-5, but the Dons have been outscored, 36-77. Campolindo is 1-4-1, being outscored, 21-48, but the Cougars lone win was a 12-0 win over rival Miramonte. The rest of the season has not been much better for the Matadors who are 0-6 and have been outscored 8-81.
